Die Stiftung ist gemeinnützig und unterstützt soziale, ökologische und kulturelle Projekte und Hilfswerke im Inland. Die Stiftung kann auch Institutionen mit Sitz in der Schweiz unterstützen, welche soziale, ökologische und kulturelle Projekte im Ausland fördern, sofern diese Tätigkeiten im Allgemeininteresse liegen und uneigennützig erfolgen. Sämtliche von der Stiftung unterstützten Institutionen müssen ihrerseits steuerbefreit sein. Im Rahmen des Stiftungszwecks kann die Stiftung unter anderem folgende Institutionen und Projekte unterstützen, die ihrerseits steuerbefreit sein müssen. Schweizerische Multiple Sklerose Gesellschaft, Krebsliga Schweiz, Aids-Hilfe Schweiz, Médicins sans Frontières.
