Purpose (SOGC)

Die Erhaltung der Wildtiere, namentlich der Raubtiere (Carnivora) in der Kulturlandschaft. Der Zweck der Stiftung wird namentlich verfolgt durch: Erarbeiten von Grundlagen für den Vollzug des Bundesgesetzes über die Jagd und den Schutz wildlebender Säugetiere und Vögel (Jagdgesetz JSG), den zugehörigen Verordnungen und Konzepten; Beraten und Unterstützen des Bundes und der Kantone beim Vollzug; Beratung und Mitarbeit bei der grenzüberschreitenden Zusammenarbeit und der Umsetzung internationaler Konventionen; Überwachen von Wildtierbeständen, namentlich der grossen Raubtiere; Bereitstellen von Information über die erarbeiteten Grundlagen für Bund, Kantone und die Öffentlichkeit. Zu diesem Zweck betreibt die Stiftung ein Forschungs- und Beratungsinstitut. Die Stiftung hat keinen Erwerbszweck und erstrebt keinen Gewinn. Sie ist ausschliesslich gemeinnützig tätig.
