Founded in 1991, the Wüthrich Foundation supports the socially disadvantaged and promotes cultural initiatives in the Canton of Bern, particularly in the Thun region. The foundation provides grants to individuals and organizations, but only once every three years to the same recipient.

Purpose (SOGC)
Unterstützung von sozial Benachteiligten sowie Förderung und/oder Unterstützung von kulturellen Anliegen, soweit dieselben nicht von öffentlichen Institutionen wahrgenommen werden. Die Leistungen der Stiftung erfolgen im Kanton Bern, in der Regel in der Region Thun. Die Leistungen der Stiftung können sowohl an natürliche wie auch an juristische Personen erfolgen und sollen in der Regel innerhalb einer Dreijahresperiode nur ein Mal an dieselben Empfänger gehen. Die Stiftung hat gemeinnützigen Charakter und verfolgt keinerlei Erwerbszweck.
