Goal
Our project aims to ensure that vulnerable children, especially those affected by poverty, displacement, or social exclusion have equal access to quality education in safe and supportive environments. We will strengthen community-based learning structures, equip our school with essential materials, and train teachers to respond to the needs of marginalized learners. By addressing barriers such as child labor, early marriage, and lack of resources, we seek to keep children in school and empower families to value education. Ultimately, our goal is to create lasting change where every child can learn, thrive, and build a brighter future.

Challenge
Many vulnerable children in Cameroon are deprived of their right to education due to poverty, displacement, gender inequality, and weak school infrastructure. In rural and marginalized communities, families struggle to afford school fees and materials, while long distances, child labor, and early marriage push children, especially girls out of school. Conflict and insecurity have further disrupted learning, leaving thousands without safe or consistent access to education. This deepens inequality and limits future opportunities. Our project seeks to break this cycle by addressing the social and economic barriers that keep children from learning and fulfilling their potential.
-
Need for Action
There is an urgent need to act now to prevent an entire generation of vulnerable children from being left behind. Without access to quality education, these children face a lifetime of poverty, exclusion, and limited opportunity. Immediate action is needed to rebuild and equip schools, support teachers, and remove the financial and social barriers that prevent children, especially girls and displaced youth from learning. Investing in their education is not only a moral duty but also essential for community resilience, peace building, and sustainable development. By acting today, we can protect children’s rights, restore hope, and build stronger, more inclusive futures for all.
-
Measures
To achieve our goal, we will strengthen access to inclusive, quality education for vulnerable children through a series of targeted actions. We will rehabilitate classrooms and provide essential learning materials such as books, desks, and school kits. Teachers will receive training in child-centered and trauma-sensitive teaching methods to better support displaced and marginalized learners. Community awareness campaigns will encourage parents to prioritize education, especially for girls. We will also establish child protection and school feeding initiatives to improve attendance and retention. Required resources include funding for infrastructure, teaching materials, training, logistics, and community mobilization, as well as partnerships with local authorities and education stakeholders to ensure sustainability.
-
Cooperation Partner
The project will be implemented through strong partnerships with local and national stakeholders to ensure impact and sustainability. We will collaborate with the Ministry of Secondary Education, the council, the education cluster and local education authorities to align activities with national priorities. Partnerships with community-based organizations, parent-teacher associations, and traditional leaders will support outreach, child protection, and community ownership. We also plan to work with humanitarian and development partners such as UNICEF, Plan International, and local NGOs specializing in education and child rights. These collaborations will enhance coordination, resource sharing, and capacity building to deliver lasting educational opportunities for vulnerable children across target communities.
-
Impact
The project will have a direct and lasting impact on children’s access to quality education and their overall well-being. By improving school infrastructure, providing learning materials, and training teachers, we will create safer and more inclusive learning environments where vulnerable children can thrive. Increased community engagement will help reduce dropouts, early marriage, and child labor, while empowering families to support education. In the long term, the project will strengthen local education systems, promote gender equality, and enhance social cohesion. The effectiveness of our approach lies in its community-driven design and focus on sustainability ensuring that the benefits continue long after the project ends.
