Purpose
Our Strategic Objectives; a) To improve access to social justice for widows and single mothers in and around Mityana district of Uganda. b) To improve the livelihood status of vulnerable widows and single mothers including those living with disability and HIV/AIDS through innovative self-help projects, financial literacy and life skills with an aim of attaining good health, education for their children (especially OVCs), in and around Mityana district. c) To mediate on behalf of disadvantaged widows, single mothers and Orphans and other vulnerable Children (OVCs) on civil/human rights and social deprivation. d) To provide a platform of linkage to health, educational, social and economic improvement opportunities through partnerships with likeminded institutions and programs. e) To conduct civic education on HIV/AIDS, human rights, gender, democracy and good governance among the general population. f) To promote and improve the education of OVC as a means of mitigating generational child poverty. g) To provide support, care and refer people infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. h) To promote positive youth, women and child development through counseling, life skills leadership and entrepreneurship development. i) To enhance access and utilization of quality Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and HIV/AIDS services. j) To protect and safeguard all children against child abuse and trafficking. -

WISIMODO envisions a society where marginalized widows, single mothers and Orphans and other vulnerable children (OVCs) become fully empowered and attain their right to social justice, protection, development and participation. WISIMODO works to initiate programs that help widows, single mothers and Orphans and other vulnerable Children (OVCs) live fulfilled lives by empowering them socially, economically, emotionally and spiritually, through innovative self-help initiatives and establishment of productive and reliable networks and support structures. -
